Our Staff


Pamela Strode (Mauka & Preschool Director/Owner)

Pamela is the owner of Strode Montessori. She has always had a passion for caring for young infants and toddlers. Pamela studied for her Montessori credentials in infant and toddler care at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies and has completed her master's degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in December 2011 in curriculum studies with a focus in early childhood education. She is enthusiastic about providing quality infant and toddler care to her community in Hawaii.

Mae Mansfield (Mauka & Makai Assistant Director)

Mae Mansfield received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Phoenix in Human Services and Management. Her CDA is from the University of Texas. Mae started working at Strode Montessori i‚Äčn 2017 after many years of experiance in Early Childhood Education ranging from infancy to elementary school age. In her free time, she is part of a run club, she enjoys going the beach, and hiking.

Liz Davis (Preschool Lead Teacher & Associate Director)

Liz Davis received her Master's of Arts in Teaching along with her Montessori AMS credential from Chaminade University. Liz also received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Chaminade University as well. Liz has been working with children of all ages for the past 10 years and has grown in experience with her teachings in the toddler classroom before transitioning into the director position at the Mauka campus. Liz is now our Lead Teacher/Associate Director at our preschool. When Liz is not working in the classroom, she enjoys singing with her band around the island and spending quality time with her family. 

Leilani Breeze (Makai I/T Center Director)

Leilani received her Master's in Early Childhood Education along with her Montessori AMS certificate from Chaminade University. Leilani also received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Chaminade University as well. Leilani spent many years in the classroom with toddlers before transitioning into the role of the director of our Makai campus. When Leilani is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Strode Montessori, Inc. is licensed by the Department of Human Services to serve a maximum of 33 (at our Mauka campus) or 27 (at our Makai campus) children ages 6 weeks to 3 years or 40 (at our Preschool campus).

We maintain low child to teacher ratios to better serve your child's social and emotional development. Our ratio for our infant classrooms are 1:3 and our ratio for our toddler classrooms are 1:5. Our ratio for our preschool classroom is 1:8. Each of our five classrooms has at least one lead teacher who holds a bachelor degree or higher in Early Childhood Education. In addition to this, all teachers continue to learn about the Montessori philosophy and methods if they are not finished with their Montessori certification.

To ensure the safety of your children. All teachers and caregivers are trained in infant and child CPR and First Aid. All teachers participate in annual background checks and finger printings and also complete 16 hours of health and safety training.

Between three schools serving 100 families, we have 22 full-time teachers and 3 full-time directors on campus at all times.
